We are pleased to announce that the Singapore Law Gazette has just published an exclusive article that we recently wrote for them. The article Arbitration in Singapore 2013: A Year in Review is now available online.

As we enter 2014, the article looks back at significant Singapore Court decisions of 2013 involving arbitration which we think arbitration practitioners will continue to discuss, moving into the years beyond. Given the number of recent cases in which parties have sought to challenge awards against them, we also present a modest proposal about how indemnity costs might be used to discourage parties from launching unmeritorious challenges to arbitral awards.
